Benefit Roller Lash
When I was interviewing for my internship, I had to run out the morning of my interview to get new black slacks. I got the slacks, changed in the store, and then realized I had left my make up at home. There happened to be an Ulta in the same shopping center, so I ran in with a plan to buy some cheap drugstore brands just to get me through the interview. When I got to the checkout, they had a display of this mascara set up. I follow Benefit on Instagram and had seen all of the posts about Roller Lash, so I thought, why not, I’ll try it.
I hated it.
I was so disappointed. This mascara is not cheap, so I wasn’t going to give up on it. After a few days, I figured out how to use the brush, and now I am in love. I have seen a few beauty youtubers talk about how it gets better after a few tries, but no one has mentioned the trick with the brush. It’s shaped in such a way, that you think you should be using the side that curves in. Really, what you need to do is apply two coats with the side that curves in, and two coats with the side that curves out.
It adds so much volume and length; this is my Holy Grail product, now.

Scotch Lint Roller
I have two dogs, and while they are super cute, they also produce a lot of fur. I wear black pants every single day, and it seems like I am constantly finding white fur all over myself.
I bought a two pack of these Scotch Lint Rollers back at Christmas time, and am STILL using them. I use these babies at least twice a day, and there are still tons of sheets left. On top of that, they are super sticky, and always catch every little piece of lint or fur. I would die without these. They are a forever favorite.

NYX HD Studio Photogenic Foundation
This is another purchase I made because I forgot my makeup at home. This is the first time I have ever tried NYX foundation, and it’s amazing. My usual go-to is the Benefit Oxygen Wow, and I would say that this is a pretty good affordable alternative.
It’s fairly light coverage, but manages to block out everything I need to cover up. I tend to wear this without concealer and it works. I would actually equate it more to a BB cream than a foundation. It’s definitely NOT a CC cream though, so make sure you get the right color. The one I use is pretty pink toned, so look into what you need to balance out when deciding on a cool toned or warm toned version of this. I believe that they do have both.

L’Oreal Glossy Balm
Holy gloss, Batman! These RULE. The colors are incredibly vibrant, and the gloss factor is off the charts. I would say that once you build it up, it’s actually glossier than a lip gloss. I tend to favor matte lip finishes, but I am in love with these glossy balms.
Another opportunity buy when I was stuck in a store during a storm, these are one of my favorite accidental finds. I do like the pink color more than the red, only because with red lips I feel like it needs to be really precise and clean, which is hard to achieve with these.

Rimmel London Lipstick by Kate 01
This is the perfect red lipstick. I have been trying to buy this color for months, and so when I finally found it in stock somewhere I bought it on the spot. I have the Rimmel by Kate in 109, which is a bright pink that matches a dress and top that I have, and I love it, but the red. Oh man, the red.
I am pretty sure this is Zoella’s favorite lipstick, so you know, I’m in good company.

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter
This is a product I received in a beauty subscription, but I don’t remember if it was an ipsy or a Birchbox. I don’t subscribe to either any more, and so when I was going through all of my boxes and bags I found this and decided to try it out.
I recently started getting my eyebrows threaded, and they have never looked better. This is a crayon eyebrow highlighter, but when I am not highlighting my brows because I want a more natural look, I do use it on the inner corners of my eyes.
It’s super creamy and blendable and gives the perfect glow anywhere you apply it. I haven’t tried it, but I bet it would be a great eyeshadow base as well.

Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics
I bought a bunch of these on clearance, and I typically am not a fan of the ribbon elastics. I know that they’re pretty, and more comfortable to wear around your wrist, but I just never thought they kept my hair up tight enough.
I have thick, curly hair, so I need my hair tie to stand up to it. The Goody brand ribbon elastics do! They also come in tons of cute colors and patterns. I bought them on clearance, but they are a bit pricey when not on sale.
